Northern Tier High Technology Corridor
"Marketing the Technological and Knowledge Resources of Northern Minnesota"

The Northern Tier is not just another web site.  It does have the features of a traditional web site in that it provides you with links to a multitude of resources but it also has the ability for you to collaborate and create partnerships.  Partnerships that you may not even realize are possible.

This building of partnerships -- or communities -- is the heart and soul of the Northern Tier High Technology (NTHT) Corridor. It is the ability to collaborate and share ideas with people of like interest. We believe, the sharing of knowledge is critical to the survival of Rural Communities. If we use the best practices of our counterparts, we save time, money, and energy.

The Northern Tier provides a virtual place for YOU to set up a virtual discussion area that includes the ability to conduct an on-line discussion, create team rooms, implement online chat capabilities, create a collaborative project calendar, and view or upload research documents, white papers, presentations, or other correspondence.

Another element of the Northern Tier is the ability to find information. The NTHT Corridor is a bold attempt to identify, catalog. and post the multitude of business, government, non-profit, economic development, entrepreneurial, and higher education sites in Northern Minnesota. By doing so, we provide a "one stop shop" or an up-to-date virtual "yellow pages" for all information related to our region.

Best of all, this site is open to everyone. Regardless of where you live. If you are a business owner looking to expand your business, this is the place to start looking for resources. If you are an entrepreneur searching for technical, funding, or programmatic support, this is the place to look. If you are a researcher, non-profit, government agency, individual, or business looking for answers or a place to identify potential partners or business leads, this is the place to start. The Northern Tier has something for everyone.

The interactive discussion areas require you to obtain a username and password. Click here to find out why.  There is no fee associated with registration. It is a tool we use to gauge our success and provide feedback to our sponsors. It is also a method of identifying the "knowledge" resources of our region. There are no charges to view or upload content and we will NEVER sell or otherwise use this information to infringe on your privacy.

If you have recommendations on how to improve the site, drop us an e-mail.  If you have a link you want to share, let the webmaster know and we'll get it up as soon as we can.

Enjoy the site and welcome to the Northern Tier!
